American singer and model Ciara was recently in South Africa on holiday with her family and it looks like it wasn't all just play, she did some work too.

Ciara stayed in Cape Town, spent some time in Johannesburg and even helped highlight the plight of rhino poaching in the North West. And as it turns out, she made some new music too.

The award-winning singer Friday released her new single, "Freak Me," which features Nigerian hitmaker, Tekno. The star took to Instagram to express her excitement and gave fans a taste of the song by uploading an impromptu video she shot in Soweto.

According to the stars post, the video was shot on "the block Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu used to live"— that's Vilakazi Street to you and me.
