Freshlyground's lead singer Zolani took to social media to thank fans for supporting her dream through the crowdfund she recently launched to fund an international trip to launch a solo career.

According to her thundafund page, Zolani and Goldfish duo, Dom and Dave, have earmarked a window of opportunity for her to travel to San Diego, to record the band's next mega-hit and Zolani's first track in her solo project.

The upcoming collaboration will be the result of a five-day jam session in San Diego, where Dom and Dave now live.

Zolani has managed to raise just over R81 000 in one week, and thanked fans in a video message on Instagram, alongside the caption: "YUP YUP!!! Fantastic news!! My crowdfunding campaign is one week in and ALREADY it’s a quarter of the way to target THANK YOU THANK YOU so much!"
