Before everyone started fainting to King Monada’s hit single "Malwedhe", which resulted in the #IdibalaChallenge, it was "O ska Bora Moreki", his debut single, that wreaked havoc all over Mzansi.

Now Idibala, which loosely translated means to "faint", which  is adapted from his hit single has seen people on social media in the recent weeks taking on the challenge and faint while dancing to the song.

The song which has become as popular as the national anthem has spread like wildfire even beyond South Africa's borders and has been spotted as far afield as China

"The song is big in Tanzania, even the cops are doing it (the fainting challenge), said DJ Fresh.

"This song is a hit, you can tell it’s probably thought through," added Somizi during the Fresh Breakfast show.

During the interview on Metro FM's The Drive on Thursday, the Limpopo-born musician said following the huge success of his debut hit single, his fans would tease about when he will be making another hit. 

Two years on, with a concept that was inspired by his fans from back home in Limpopo, King Monada's latest offering has become hot property with everyone singing along and faint while at it and now the few collabos are on the cards.

Mo Flava  and Masechaba, The Drive hosts revealed that Moonchild and  Rude Boy of R&B's supergroup P-Square and Nigerian Afrobeat fame wanted to do a collabo with King Monata.

King Monada took the opportunity to explain to some of the lyrical content of the song. The song is in Khelobedu, the language of the Balodebu people of Limpopo Province.

Some of "Malwedhe"'s  lyrics include: " I have a fainting spell...if you cheat on me I'll faint, if you don't give me money I'll faint, if you don't come home I'll faint, if you don't answer your phone I'll faint, if you leave me I'll faint."

The 26-year old singer and producer confirmed that he will be dropping the album in two weeks.
