Kwesta has been on an unbelievable run of late. Earlier in the year he stole the show at the 23rd annual SAMAs (South African Music Awards) where he walked away with four awards, including Best Male and Rap Album of the Year. He then went on to feature on American radio personality Sway Colloway's Sway in the Morning for an interview and freestyle, later making it onto Sway's list of the top five freestyles of the Year so far.

DAMN!!! @torylanez that hook you sent me last night is straight FIRE!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 K1 GOAT X FARGO pic.twitter.com/JaaE5VQftl

Then, a few weeks ago, Kwesta was invited to open for T.I during the Hustle Gang Tour in Atlanta, Georgia. After being featured on D.EE XCLSV's debut single, Flex Life earlier in the week Kwesta today shared a snippet of a hook from a song he's working on with Canadian superstar rapper Tory Lanez. On the short video snippet, Tory Lanez can be heard shouting out Kwesta and K1 as the menacing beat plays before he enters into what sounds like a smooth, catchy hook.

With all that's going on around him, including the recent announcement that four of the singles off his award-winning album DaKAR 2 had been certified platinum (a first for a South African artist) it's clear that Kwesta is at the top of his game and, arguably, on top of the South African hip hop industry.
