Xolisa Mvula also known as Lady X drops her debut album titled: "Love. Life. Complicated."
Following her platinum-selling single; "iGugu Lami" and her Top 100 listed new single: "Nguwe." Afro Soul/Pop singer and songwriter; Lady X, dropped her much anticipated debut album "Love. Life. Complicated: on Friday, August 17.
Lady X, said the album was produced it in the month of August as a tribute to women.
The "iGugu Lami" hitmaker said has drawn so much strength and courage from the women of Africa in the creating of her album.
This passion for women can be heard throughout Lady X’s debut album in the authentic melodic stories she sings, with each song telling tales of the beauty and pain of Love and Life with their Complicated realities.
"This album is my truth and the truth of so many South African women. We’ve all fallen in and out of love and had to endure what life brings but we all have to pick ourselves up as the Mbokodo’s we are and carry on with our complicated lives looking to a better and brighter tomorrow, and that’s what this album is for me. It is my way of expressing my journey to this day and celebrating with each and everyone that relates to my music," said Laxy X.
Lady X’s debut album is truly a reflection of her musical journey and growth as it infuses the live elements of her four-piece band with her soulful and afro house background, her newly found Afro Soul/Pop sound and her Jazz & Blues vocal tone and melodies.
