At the beginning of this month, the third season of 'Lockdown' came to an end.

Huge names like Pamela Nomvete and Lorcia Cooper kept viewers on the edge of the seats and were even joined by American actress, Tichina Arnold.

While the popular jail drama is off the air, for now, the creators of the show, Black Brain Pictures, decided to leave you with something else: the soundtrack to the show. The soundtrack features the vocals of some of the stars of Lockdown, like Nelisiwe Sibiya, Babalwa, Silindile Nodangala, Zola Nombona and Dawn Thandeka King.

It also features well-known singers like Maxhoba, Phindile Thango, Bongo Riot and Jamela Vuma. Mandla N, who is the CEO of Black Brain Pictures and the show’s producer and director said:

“This has been such an epic ride!  A daunting yet most beautiful and priceless moment in my career, making 'Lockdown' and this album was the biggest blessing, a lesson, a challenge and a treasured time that I will forever be grateful for.

The album has very powerful music and the artists were so giving of themselves, I am proud of this body of work and proud of each contributor that came on board.”
