Kwaito superstar, L’vovo Derrango has finally shot a music video to his latest single, Iyavaya which features Professor and Dr Malinga- and is ready to release.
The song Iyavaya, which means ‘it is moving’, was developed organically between the three artists, passing it amongst each other until its completion.
“This collaboration is amazing. Three strong artists come together to create the magic that is within this song. And the commitment that they have shown from the beginning till now is equally impressive,” said Lvovo.
About the song, he said, "it is a happy, festive, summer song for people to have fun with. As we approach the festive season, we have reached a time where we as artists need to give fans music to party with,” he added.
The music video is due to be released next week and is described as top quality.
“To be honest, the video is looking amazing and I can’t wait for the people to get a glimpse of it. My last video was shot by the same person, Ofentse Mwase who calls himself Uncle Scrooch, and it reached 2 million views. On this one, we are aiming for 4 million views.
“For one to achieve this milestone, your video has to be of a great in quality."
Moving forward, L’vovo is not looking to release any new music in between now and December because he does not want to disturb the hype and momentum that his current song is receiving. But fans can be rest assured that he is also putting together an album that is due next year.
“My album was supposed to have been released this year but due to some delays, it will be available next year. All the songs are done and we are just working towards releasing it, "said the musician who wouldn’t give out the title and encourages us to wait until D-day.
