If King Tha says it, then it must be true. The lead singer of the iconic group, Bongo Maffin, says they are working on a new album.

“THE GOOD NEWS,” Thandiswa tweeted yesterday, “Kalawa has started submitting beats! Bongo is on the way (sic)”.

Thandiswa Mazwai has reunited with the original Bongo massive: Stoan, Jah Seed and even Speedy, and that is definitely cause for celebration.

Twelve years since they last put out a body of work together — and after Speedy left the group — it will be interesting to see how the four create together.

Yes, the other three members have also gone on to establish thriving solo careers in their own right but their fans have been asking, no, pestering them for a reunion.

By the sounds of things, their new album will be produced by the Kalawa Jazzmee in-house producers. A fan was so bold to ask if sound architect, Spikiri, would be involved in the production. “Watseba mos,” Thandiswa responded on Twitter. We’re ready.
