The Parlotones knew they couldn’t just let 2018 end without marking a special milestone.

This year is their 20th together as a band and to celebrate, they are releasing a brand new album.

First, the band’s lead singer, Kahn Morbee, went to England where he worked with several songwriters in an attempt to finetune the messages The Parlotones wanted to make and the sonic direction they wanted to take with this new album.

Then he came back to Jozi where the entire band worked together for four months to craft a body of work called China.

The two-disc album has a whopping 25 tracks and is now available for your listening pleasure.

About China, Kahn said: “It’s quite an exciting year for us, releasing a double album to celebrate two decades coupled with a local and international tour…it’s kinda surreal because it feels as fresh and as exciting as when we first started but it’s an adventure that’s spanned 20 years.”
