WATCH: What happened when Yugen Blakrok almost missed her performance

Way before she had one of the top three verses on the 'Black Panther' soundtrack, South African rapper, Yugen Blakrok was ripping mics and delivering engaging performances. 

Today, she lets us in on what really goes on behind the scenes when she is getting ready to get onto the stage. In a video (which was shot by Tumi Moroka) that Yugen Blakrok posted on Instagram on Friday, you get to see how calm she looked even though she has just put in a whole lot of cardio in the streets.

She wrote: “All I remember was the Uber driver being too lazy to deal with the traffic in Newtown that day, so the fool dropped us a good three blocks from the festival.”

Man, we was running through those dodgy ass streets with MPD, laptop and camera in our backpacks 😂 with less than 5min to stagetime. Got there just as Gigi finished, wheezing “Did we miss it?
