Cape Town choreographer Rudi Smit took to Facebook earlier today to thank everyone who viewed and shared Meghan Trianor dance video.

The video went viral and has been viewed more than 180 000 times since it was uploaded just over 24 hours ago.

He wrote: “We have reached 100 000 views! Thank you so much for the support everyone!!This has been absolutely overwhelming. So much has happened in the last 19 hours since this video has been released. I can't believe the response! Thank you to my Untimitive family for working so hard and bringing this piece to life. I couldn't have done it with any other group of people!

“Please help us to get the hashtag #MeghanTrainorDanceSA trending so that we can get this to Meghan Trainor and show her our awesome talent in SA!

“A huge thank you to Dylan Pereira and Willem Botha for filming, editing, grading and finishing this video. It could not have been done without the two of you and you have played such a huge role in the success of this.”

An excited Luke Tyler shared the video and tagged the American singer:
