Lockdown season 2 debut really got viewers on the edge of their seats as they marvelled over the enhanced storyline and new characters.

With newbies Linda Sebezo and Pamela Nomvete joining the already star-studded cast; Lorcia Cooper, Dawn Thandeka King, Zola Nombona and Nomzamo Mbatha, the show got viewers begging for more than just half an hour slot...they demand a full one hour.

Nomzamo who plays Mbali made a cameo in the first season made an even stronger impression in this episode with the phrase "they pissed on my bed, they shat on my pillow and they spat in my food...” talking to her lover's son Njabulo, a prison warder,  recounting the horrors she was faced with in prison.

Mbali is a lover to the estranged husband of the prison’s Governor, Beauty, which is played former Generations actress Slindile Nodangala.

Lorcia Cooper aka Tyson returns as the baddest as ever, while Linda Sebezo who plays Maki Magwaza came in as a monstrous inmate who is seeking revenge on the woman who took her son away from her.

Viewers remember Pamela Nomvete as Ntsiki Lukhele of Generations who also made her debut last night also received a warm reception. Lockdown 2 season has indeed raised the bar; The show received standing ovation:

With only the first episode, fans are demanding a hour slot.
