London - More than two decades have passed since he famously boasted of tantric sex sessions lasting up to seven hours.

But now Sting has revealed what he and his wife Trudie Styler really get up to during that time – and it’s not quite as rock and roll as you might think.

The singer, 63, has admitted that those seven-hour sessions actually include “a movie and dinner”.

Killing off his image as a master of tantric sex, a yoga-related practice, the father of six made his admission during an American television interview.

Appearing on Inside The Actors Studio he was asked to explain the boast he made in 1990, he said: “If we had seven hours I would demonstrate… maybe not.”

Then he added: “There is some truth to the idea of tantric sex is that sex is a spiritual act. I don’t know any purer and better way of expressing love for another individual than sharing that wonderful sacrament.

“I would stand by it [but] not seven hours. Seven hours includes a movie and dinner.”

He said: “Your stomach goes as near to the spine as you can make it and you never lose control, you just keep going. The purpose of sex ideally is for the woman to attain orgasm and for the man not to. I’m serious about this. I think it’s about control.” - Daily Mail
