The other woman in the Chris Brown/Drake club brawl is doing just fine.
Brown’s girlfriend Karrueche Tran was spotted leaving her hotel hours after the fight, sporting an “upbeat attitude”, according to the Daily Mail. Tran was accompanied by two friends who seemed to be enjoying the attention of the paparazzi.
What Tran must be feeling on the inside though, is anyone’s guess. In the past few months, Chris Brown and Rihanna have enjoyed a very public flirtation, fuelling rumours that the former couple are on the verge of reuniting. Though there are conflicting reports about who and what started the bottle-throwing brawl at the Manhattan club W.I.P between Brown, Drake and their entourages, the catalyst was Rihanna’s relationships with both men.
Meanwhile, both artists are said to be collaborating with New York City detectives following the melee that left the club trashed and a few people injured. Brown’s publicist described the star and his entourage as the victims.
“Chris, Karrueche [Tran] and his friends were victims of a brutal attack last night at W.I.P,” said the publicist.
“They sustained several injuries. Chris and his party are cooperating with NY authorities who are pursuing this incident further. Once the bottle was thrown, all hell broke loose and there were more bottles thrown.”
According to gossip site TMZ, Drake started the fight by flipping the bird at Brown’s bodyguard and announcing that he was going to “whoop that a**”.
According to Bang Showbiz, earlier reports said the fight broke out after Chris had sent a bottle of Champagne to his rival's table as a peace offering, but it was returned with a note reading: “I'm f***ing the love of your life, deal with it.”
Drake, however, has denied any involvement in the incident, claiming he had already left the club when the fight started.
“He was on his way out of the club when the altercation began,” said a spokesperson for Drake.
“He did not engage in any activity which resulted in injury to person or damage to property.” - IOL
