They said it was ABC, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3 and as simple as making a cheese and tomato sandwich. Okay, maybe they didn’t say that sandwich bit, but you must admit, making that sarmie is pretty much ABC.
TopTV’s Star! channel also wants to teach you something, dear. They want to school you about the ABCs of Rock, an entertainment show that airs every Humpday.
As the name suggests, the show takes a look at some of the most significant artists, objects and other things pertaining to rock music. And they do that by going through the alphabet. This week, ABCs Of Rock presents all things O.
That doesn’t include the president of America, even if the world is experiencing Obama Fever right now. There’s no denying it, Barack Obeezy is something of a rock star.
The ABCs Of Rock will make a big deal of everyone from Ozzy Osbourne to Oasis. Remember when Noel Gallagher of Oasis kicked up a fuss and wanted to make rock fans boycott rapper Jay-Z headlining the Glastonbury festival? Yeah, the Jiggaman’s mocking rendition of Wonderwall did more than shut him up.
This Canadian-produced programme won’t be showing any of that because it was first aired in 2007 and the little spat between Jay and Noel happened in 2008. But rest assured, it will profile the careers of these artists and put the spot-light on the Oddly Obsessed people proud to call themselves their fans.
For the letter N, this show explored parts of the rock culture that encompass stage shenanigans that include Nip Slips (euphemism for accidental indecent exposure of intimate parts). This week will be no different. The big Os are not just limited to the names of artists.
There are actual themes like Original Outlaws and Obnoxiously Offensive people and things. As expected, all the extras that come with the genre will also be included. The famous phrase isn’t Sex, Drugs and Rock ’n’ Roll for nothing.
