The largest kids entertainment channel, Cartoon Network Africa been bit with FIFA World Cup bug.

The network recently announced that they have teamed up with  SuperSport United F.C. and Bafana Bafana midfielder, Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane, who will be a local Ben 10 ambassador for the campaign to the global event which starts on June 14.

As the Ben 10 ambassador, Yeye will work jointly with Cartoon Network Africa to sustain the Ben 10 franchise across its online and on-air platforms while raising awareness and affinity with the Ben 10 brand amongst the new generation of Ben 10 fans.

“I jumped at the chance to work with Cartoon Network. Ben 10 has always been about an average kid that finds himself in extraordinary circumstances - boy, girl, no matter your age, or cultural background, Ben 10 is relatable because anyone and everyone can be a hero in their own right, and save the day if they believe in themselves,” said Letsholonyane.

If that was not enough, fans can tune in the midfielder as he releases all his inner Ben 10 aliens on the football pitch in a recently launched Ben10 Penalty Power online game.

Catch the all-new Ben 10 episodes starts on Cartoon Network from Saturday June 23 at 11.15am, the new Toon Cup mobile app, microsite and online game launching on June 14.

The app is free and available for download from June 14 June on the App Store, Google Play and Amazon for smartphones and tablets or visit www.CartoonNetworkAfrica.com
