Can the Psychotics top Vintage?

Okay, the show is now at a stage where we don’t know what to think any more. Three teams were axed and two of them did not deserve it.

Methinks the judges are just trying to outdo Randall and Simon with their antics.

There was a hint right at the end that Spar10s and WEDFY might return, but the question is, why were they eliminated in the first place?

This is when I wish that the voting could have started at the top 10. Because that way, you, South Africa – and not three individuals – could decide who is the best.

Let’s look at how everyone fared this week.

The Bollywood theme was a great idea as we saw amazing interpretations of Indian dance.

HAPPIEST FEET OF THE DAY

I have said it before, Vintage are on a roll. The attention to detail in everything they do is beyond amazing.

The costumes, the storyline and the dance moves were all immaculate.

There was a genie, a girl and a monkey, among other things, and Arthur still didn’t get the story. We’ll forgive him, as he confessed and said that he liked the set anyway. Vintage is a possible winner right now because of their diverse potential.

You can tell they do not sleep much as they try to be the best at what they do.

TOP JUDGE NUGGET

How funny was the part where Emile asked the Spar10s to take off their masks next time and they refused?

Okay, refused is not the right word, but they informed him that the look was part and parcel of who they were. I want to agree with him about facial expressions being important, but I don’t think they matter that much.

No, seriously, when Chris Brown is on stage, or in a music video, did you ever stop to look at his face? Let’s be real now.

Probably their disobedience cost them a place in the show.

R-R-REWIND THAT

Thembisa Revolution tried to gooi their tap dancing roots with the Bolly styles, and it worked.

It was an interesting showcase, especially when they did the arm movements right at the end which looked like something out of a kung-fu movie.

You can tell they are trying and so Khabonina was right to both applaud and correct them on their shortfalls.

CRYSTAL BALL WHISPERS

As it stands, Vintage rank the highest.

The Psychotics group is secretly climbing up the ladder and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were to end up tops.

Only time will tell. It is sad to see Black Converse leave, but somebody has to go and we hope they make the best of the publicity they got from the show.

• Step Up Or Step Out airs every Sunday at 6.05pm on e.tv.
