The arid saltpans of Botswana’s Makgadikgadi Pans are home to 20 000 zebra that survive only by the grace of isolated summer rains. Family groups gather together to follow the rains, driven by a constant search for green grass and water.

It’s all change in the Santa Barbara police department, as the mayor loses patience with the team and hires meticulous, hard-nosed consultant Harris Trout (Anthony Michael Hall), which is bad news for Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill).

• World War I Anniversary Stunt, Discovery World, 21.00

It is 100 years since World War 1 broke out and changed the face of warfare, and the world. This month we examine the bloodiest conflict in human history. Doomsday – World War I looks at how the conflict began, and looks at how some key figures of WWII fared in the earlier war.The First World War from Above is the story of the Great War told from a unique new aerial perspective. Finally, War Horse: The Real Story tells the extraordinary story of the million British horses who served in World War I.

With about 83 people dying in gun-related violence every day in the US, the debate over firearms continues. Vice visits the New Life Baptist Church and Academy, where Pastor Larry Allen preaches and teaches guns. His students are taught gun drills and tactics to disarm attackers.
