'Imbewu The Seed', a new local drama which made its debut on e.tv on Monday night, seems to be a hit with viewers and fans on social media.
The series features some of Mzansi's brightest stars, including Leleti Khumalo, Thembi Mtshali-Jones, Mpumelelo Bhulose, Rafeal Griffiths, Vuyokazi Tshona and Fundiswa Zwane.
In the first episode viewers were introduced to the Bhengu family.
Phakade, the poor brother, who also happens to be a preacher living in rural Umbumbulu, and the rich brother, Zimele, a successful businessman living in a posh home in Umlazi.
We also meet the family the matriarch, MaNdlovu, played by veteran actress Thembi Mtshali-Jones.
Though some spoke highly of the storyline, it was the sangoma’s resemblance to Morgan Freeman that intrigued most.
The sangoma showed up at the Bhengu’s demanding to the see the daughter, claiming to have a message from the ancestors.
