Linkin Park's lead singer Chester Bennington committed suicide on July 20 , at the age of 41. The loss comes not long after the band released their seventh album 'One More Light'.

Linkin Park was formed in 1999 , they became popularly known after their “Hybrid Theory” album in 2000, which  sold over 5 million copies and earned them a Grammy nomination. They successfully broke through  other genres of music, notably when they collaborated with Jay Z in “Collision Course”.

Bennington's death came on the same day as what could have been his best friend Chris Cornell's 53rd birthday. Cornell also committed suicide by hanging.

Bennington sang at Cornell’s funeral and wrote an emotional letter about it.

The band had released new music video 'Talkin to Myself', yesterday, in which they addressed the singer's history of substance abuse.

The video combined footage of the band’s performances during their tours and it has reached over 8 million views on YouTube.
