London - Mel B can't wait to start working on 'America's Got Talent'.

The Spice Girls singer will take over from Sharon Osbourne on the judging panel of the reality TV show and is excited to get started.

She told E! News: "I'm excited!

"[I can't wait to [just see the talent. Seeing the really bad talent and seeing the amazing talent. It's always going to be a fun show, that show."

Mel, 37, also believes her experience on the UK and Australian versions of the 'X Factor' have prepared her for her new role.

She added: "I've been doing two years on 'X Factor' in Australia and I've done a bit of 'X Factor' in the UK so I'm kind of judged-up! Hopefully that will come into good use."

Meanwhile it has been revealed Simon Cowell is desperate for Sharon to replace Mel B on the Australian version of 'The X Factor'.

The music mogul is keen for Sharon - who he worked with on the judging panel of the UK version of the show for four series - to be the star judge following Mel's departure.

A source said: "Simon is really keen for Sharon to go to Australia and be a judge over there.

"Simon knows that Sharon can be TV dynamite, and while the UK doesn't look like it will happen, Simon is set on the idea of Sharon going to Australia - she's part of his gang."

Sharon, 60, quit 'America's Got Talent' in July following the way NBC executives had treated her son Jack after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

She claimed Jack had been axed from an upcoming NBC show called 'Stars Earn Stripes' because of his illness.

She said: "I just can't be fake. It's discrimination, and it was badly handled." - Bang Showbiz
