Actor Brendon Engelbrecht tells us more his first lead role character

Tell us about your character Neil Hall?

He is one of the head detectives. He is the hardcore Raven; the guy who kicks down the doors and solves things but running head first.

What made you want to be involved in this crime drama?

The script was well written, I’m not used to this types of stories been shown locally and the characters were well thought off. It made me feel like I am apart of everything bigger than everything else that I’ve experienced so far. It was definitely written for a way bigger budget. But we were able to do it on a budget without compromising any of the action.

Why should viewers tune in to The Docket?

If you want to see something with international value in your own backyard, then you need to tune in. This is not stock standard cinematography. Our cameraman was running next to us while we were raiding during shoots. There is a fluidity with the camera and it’s obsessive. It is also relatable to our audience, because a lot of people may have been through these crimes or know someone who has been through it; the subjects that are touched on will resonate with viewers.

*Tune in to The Docket, Wednesdays at 9.30pm from August 22.
