LOCAL comedian Trevor Noah is about to hit the big time when he makes his debut as host of The Daily Show on Tuesday night.

Noah, 31, replaces Jon Stewart as presenter, executive producer and writer on the Emmy Award-winning news talk show.

Singer Ryan Adams and comedian Kevin Hart will lead a diverse set of guests who are to sit down with Noah in his first show.

“The first episode will be a reintroduction of the show so what we’re doing is dividing the first week into a four-part miniseries that will set the tone for what we hope the show will be,” Noah said.

September 29 has unofficially been declared 'Trevor Noah Day' as the South African comedian makes his debut on The Daily Show at 9pm, exclusive to Comedy Central (DSTV channel 122).
