Kids’ heroes will be out in force this March as mega-stars from stage, screen and sport go head-to-head in 22 different award categories at the 26th annual Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

This year, expect a fight to the cinematic finish as Kids’ Choice Awards former host and winner, Will Smith, battles it out with Johnny Depp, newcomer Andrew Garfield and Zachary Gordon for Favourite Movie Actor.

Speaking of battles: KCA regular and Iron Man Robert Downey Junior is nominated for Favourite Male Butt-kicker against former KCA host Dwayne Johnson (Journey 2: Mysterious Island) and fellow superheroes Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man) and Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers).

Watch out for hot competition in the TV category as Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez and Victoria Justice round out the Favourite TV Actress nominees. All three actresses’ TV shows – iCarly, Wizards of Waverly Place and Victorious – are also competing for Favourite TV Show.

It’s been a good year for singer Taylor Swift who has scored the most nominations this year with three nods for Favourite Voice From An Animated Movie (The Lorax); Favourite Song (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together) and Favourite Female Singer, where she is competing against Katy Perry, P!nk and Adele.

Let’s hope there won’t be any awkward moments on the orange carpet as Swift’s former squeeze, Harry Styles, will be there with his group One Direction – nominated for Favourite Music Group and Favourite Song (What Makes You Beautiful). Meanwhile, “Beliebers” will be happy to see Justin Bieber, who got comprehensively slimed at the 2012 KCAs, nominated in the Favourite Male Singer category, alongside Bruno Mars, Usher and Blake Shelton.

In keeping with Nickelodeon’s strong animation heritage, toon characters also get a look-in, with SpongeBob SquarePants going up against The Fairly Odd Parents, Tom and Jerry and Phineas and Ferb in the Favourite Cartoon category.

Other nominee categories that need your vote include Favourite Movie Actress, Favourite Animated Movie, Favourite Female Butt-kicker, Favourite Male Athlete, Favourite Female Athlete, Favourite Villain, Favourite Book, Favourite Video Game and Favourite App.
