This week, members of the media were invited to the Fox Upfronts, where the company lets us in on the shows that are coming up on its various channels. From Fox to Fox Life to Fox Sports and of course, National Geographic, there was a lot to take in.

But a show that definitely stood out was Valley of the Boom. It is executive produced by Ariana Huffington and brought to you by the pair that gave you "Stranger Things," Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.

Set in the 1990s, "Valley of the Boom," focuses on the genesis, rise, fall and rise again of the internet age. Things go down in Silicon Valley that makes you wonder just how bad white collar issues can be.

The “hybrid docu-series” series will, surprisingly, be aired on the National Geographic channel. It’s part scripted drama and part documentary in that you’ll see the likes of Huffington and others speak in diary-style interviews. The actors include Bradley Whitford and Lamorne Morris. Look out for "Valley of the Boom" in 2019.
