'I Wanna Marry Harry' producers met over 100 Prince Harry impostors.

Creator Danny Fenton has revealed he met royal lookalikes from all over the world to pretend to be the 29-year-old prince on the new dating reality show, which sees a Prince Harry lookalike - Matthew Hicks - attempt to convince 12 American women he is the real deal.

Danny told ITV's 'Good Morning Britain': “We met over 100 Harrys, from Australia to Canada, from Ireland to New Zealand. Matt was actually one of the first six people we met and as soon as we met him, I knew he was the right guy for the show.”

Danny also claimed the dating show premise popped into his head when he thought up the catchy title.

He explained: “It was a mad idea, I can't believe it actually came off!

“Literally, the four words came into my head - 'I Wanna Marry Harry' - and we sold the show off those four words.”

Meanwhile, Harry impostor Matthew admits he had no idea what he was getting himself in for by signing up for the show.

He said: “I just didn't know what was going on. I didn't know the premise of the show initially. I was just told there's a show coming out using lookalikes.” - Bang Showbiz
