To celebrate Heritage month the Artscape Theatre Centre will be hosting its annual festival.

A taste of the festival was dished out to those in Langa and in Nyanga, who were treated to the Artscape Indigenous Ensemble, including a performance from Afrovibes from the Netherlands.

These showcases lead up to the final indigenous concert Road Trip with Dizu Plaatjies, which will be held at 3pm on Heritage Day.

World-renowned indigenous artist Plaatjies will be performing with musicians such as Pops Mohamed and Dave Reynolds. Choreography will be done by Elvis Sibeko.

On September 21, the Cape Cultural Collective will be celebrating its 10th anniversary showcasing Big Bash, a kaleidoscope of the Mother City's cultural collective.

The line-up includes performances by Riaad Moosa, the magical Rosa Choir and the Cape Flats Tenors. The festival will wrap-up with a grand finale production Jazz Masters Tribute from September 28-30. Tickets for all productions range from R100-150 and are available at Computicket and or Artscape-Dial-a-Seat 021 421 7695.
