The Cape Music Institute (CMI) students will be performing Through the Years, a tribute to SA music and legends at the Roxy Revue Bar, GrandWest on 20, 21 and 22 September 2018. The show, performed by 70 students, will showcase a timeline of SA hit songs, from the 60s to date.

Established in 2006, the CMI actively develops and cultivates local, young talent in the music industry. The institute is committed to a multi-disciplinary approach to music education and the practical upskilling of talented musicians. Their comprehensive educational programme promotes the highest levels of professional development and challenges the students to reach their potential.

“The aim of this concert is to showcase these talented students, and promote the CMI, and South African music,” says Elouise Matthys, the PR and Promotions Manager at GrandWest. “GrandWest has created the opportunity for CMI students to be exposed to the practical process of producing, directing and participating in a two-hour production. Together we hope to add value by increasing awareness of the services of CMI and raising funds for this fantastic institute,” she said.

Tickets to the show are R100, available from [email protected] or by calling 021 637 0327 or 082 374 5791.

The shows start at 8pm.
