World-renowned, award-winning indigenous musician Dizu Plaatjies is set to headline Heritage Day festivities at the Artscape Theatre from 3pm.
The show will include dance performances, award-winning poet Siphokazi Jonas, the Artscape Indigenous Ensemble, the Ibuyambo Musical Group and the Sikwantu Cultural Group.
The main concert was preceded by township-based, free-entry celebrations, showcasing cross-cultural dance genres at Guga S’thebe New Theatre in Langa and Zolani Centre Theatre in Nyanga.
