The Jazz on the Rocks Festival 2018, kicks off today with an exciting music line-up that celebrates music, and the life and times of the legendary jazz man Hugh Masekela, while unlocking economic opportunities for the Paternoster community.

Currently in its 9th year, the festival takes place at the picturesque Tietiesbaai near Paternoster from Thursday 22 February to Sunday 26 February 2018.

The music programme is eclectic and will feature some of Cape Town’s and South Africa’s best and most popular artists, some of whom will celebrate the legacy of the late Hugh Masekela in a special “We Love Hugh” themed extravaganza.

The line-up is as follows:

Thursday

: Little Giants; Ruby Truter; CT All Stars; Jeodhouse; DJ

Friday

: West Coast Youth; Miles Entertainment; Hassanadas; Vuvu Khumalo; The Rockets; DJ

Saturday

: CMI; Bruckner Big Band;N2; Fancy Galada; Jarrad Rickets; Donveno &  Andrew Young; Dr Victor & the Rasta Rebels; Lee Stagg; DJ

Sunday

: G Funk: Beverly Scott Brown: Cameron Ward (Hugh Masekela’s guitarist); Darryl Andrews Big Band; Late Final; Alistair Izobell; Clarence Ford ‘Me Time’

Weekend passes, which include a regular shuttle service from the entrance to the stage, cost R700.
