The next highly anticipated pairing event is a Mexican themed dinner taking place on Friday, 20 April 2018. Expect superb food expertly paired with interesting and delicious drinks, along with the Mariachi band, Los Gitanos Trio.
Guests will indulge in a delicious four-course meal delightfully paired with some exciting Mexican drinks.
Think nachos, burritos, chili con carne and jalapeños paired with margaritas, tequila, coronas and cocktails.
Guests will be presented with a deconstructed nacho jar with sour cream, salsa, jalapeños and guacamole, expertly paired with a Corona Mexican Bulldog.
The starter platter:
Consists of spicy chicken empanadas, Mexican salsa shots topped with jalapeño poppers and mini vegetarian burritos. Paired with el Jimador Reposado, a young and fresh tequila with a truly authentic character. It is made with 100% hand-harvested blue Weber agave and double distilled with sparkling clarity.
The main course:
A delicious Mexican beef roulade stuffed with a chili con carne served with a mild chilli jus, grilled tomato polenta, blackened corn and corn mousse. Paired with a festive Basil and Raspberry Margarita.
With Mexican favourites like churros with a dark spicy chocolate sauce, banana and white chocolate empanada, smoked vanilla cheesecake and chilli chocolate dust, and vanilla catalana with lime macaroons. To be washed down with a shot of el Jimador Reposado tequila.
The Mexican themed dinner pairing will take place in the Good Hope Suites, GrandWest, 19h00 for 19h30.
