RHUMBELOW THEATRE: Catch Double Take, the stand-up comedy featuring two of SA’s finest comedians, Al Prodgers and Warren Robertson, from September 7 to 9. THE HERITAGE THEATRE: The musical tribute Eagles – Taking It Easy opens tonight. The show, which covers the meteoric rise to fame of the Eagles in the ’70s and ’80s, includes numbers such as Hotel California, Tequila Sunrise, Lyin’ Eyes, Get Over It and Heartache Tonight. Directed by Dawn Selby, guitars by Barry Thomson, Andy Turrell, Riaan Jacobsz and Shaun Dragt. Ends September 23. Preview specials today to Thursday: show and a three- course meal for only R165. THE BARNYARD THEATRE: The nation is feeling proud after our sporting stars’ successes at the Olympics, and now The Barnyard is celebrating our musical heroes with Special Stars from tonight until October 7. This musical adventure presents an 11-member cast and features the music of Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse, David Kramer, Johannes Kerkorrel, Mango Groove, Steve Hofmeyr, Brenda Fassie, Hotline, Bright Blue and E’Void, Clout, Ballyhoo, Rabbitt, Freshlyground and The Parlotones. THE PLAYHOUSE: The hit Broadway production Burn the Floor runs from tomorrow to September 2. The show has toured 30 countries and more than 160 cities and features performers from 10 countries, with more than 100 championship dance titles between them.
