Be entertained as Danny Fisher creates an uncanny resemblance to artists like Rod Stewart, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, James Taylor, Bill Medley Kenny Rodgers, Nat King Cole, Meatloaf, Elvis and many more with one instrument – his voice. HERITAGE THEATRE: A Taste of Thomson. The hit show by guitar maestro Barry Thomson. Ends April 21. Barry again teams up with music director Dawn Selby (keyboards, Hammond organ and vocals), Mali Sewell (drums) and Jason Andrew (bass guitar), to showcase the music of Pink Floyd, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin, Gary Moore, Dire Straits, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix. RHUMBELOW THEATRE: Good news for lovers of Dixie, swing and jazz. Platform Jazz will be back at the Rhumbelow on April 21 at 2pm and 6.30pm. This time the featured vocalist is Durban’s Shelley “Nightingale” McLean. The band promises a programme which will include favourites like Honeysuckle Rose, Tiger Rag, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, In the Mood, Pennsylvania 6500 and Take 5, to name a few. The musicians include Cathy Peacock on trumpet, Ian Holloway on clarinet, Dunc Wooldridge on trombone, Jono Judge on saxophone, Melvin Peters on keyboard Bruce Baker on drums and Andreas Kappen on double bass. VARIOUS VENUES: After three sell-out shows last month, the popular “uncles”, Peru and Bala, are embarking on a national tour. Joining them will be Karou Charou.
