SEABROOKE’S (DHS) THEATRE: The Actors’ Unemployed Company’s new comedy, Super Mokoena, stages until Sunday. Get ready for the flight of your life, as you meet the reimagined Man of Steel. Laughter, hilarity, shadow puppets and bromance. Super Mokoena brings together a creative team which will make you believe a man can fly. ELIZABETH SNEDDON THEATRE: A Handful of Keys with Ian von Memerty and Roelof Colyn returns to Durban to celebrate 20 remarkable years, from tomorrow until April 27. Featuring a firecracker script and two grand pianos, A Handful of Keys entertains with music and songs from Elton John, Richard Clayderman, Nora Jones, Alicia Keys, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Liberace through to Bach, Debussy, Chopin and many more. IZULU THEATRE, SIBAYA CASINO: The Ladies of Lollipop Lane runs from Friday to Sunday. Thousands of listeners tuned in for several years to the hugely popular radio soapie, Lollipop Lane, created by Clinton Marius. Now the magic returns in a delightfully wacky spin-off for three performances in The Ladies of Lollipop Lane. Starring Pauline Dalais and Shika Budhoo as the much-loved Mrs Singh-Singh and Mrs Singh-Song; and co-directed by Marius and Caroline Smart, The Ladies of Lollipop Lane features a stellar line-up of comedy favourites. SUNCOAST: The Dingalings stage Wed-Dingalings from Friday to Sunday. The Dingalings bring you their antics, Bollywood, Tollywood and ’80s hit tunes. This time the guys are preparing to host their friend’s wedding prenuptials with advice on wives, mothers-in-law, setting up house and recollections of the good old days. Features Dr Satchu Annamalai and Ravi Subramoney, who share the stage with the Dingalings regulars. The play is conceived and directed by Yugan Naidoo and produced by Kumseela Naidoo. GREYVILLE RACECOURSE: As Easter approaches, The Durban Catholic Players Guild will present its annual production of The Way of the Cross at 3pm on Sunday. COMING UP

THE PLAYHOUSE: Mention the name of the Baroque composer George Frideric Handel, and Messiah – the world’s most celebrated oratorio – springs immediately to mind. Messiah, whose storyline deals with the biblical Nativity, the crucifixion and the resurrection, is regarded as the greatest masterpiece of music composed in England, and is performed every year all around the globe. Durban’s Playhouse Company will host a performance of Handel’s magnum opus at the Opera Theatre on Easter Sunday, April 20, featuring Nozuko Teto, Khumbuzile Dhlamini, Aubrey Lodewyk, Violina Anguelov, and Stéfan Louw, and the Playhouse Company Chorale under seasoned choirmaster Gerhard Geist – accompanied by the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of the well-known conductor Naum Rousine. 3pm. THE PLAYHOUSE: Classic ballet masterpieces performed to music by top French composers is what audiences will experience when The Crown of the Russian Ballet tours the country. The innovative Moscow theatre company will perform at the Playhouse Opera Theatre at 7.30pm on May 20 and 21. The programme will celebrate masterpieces of French music in ballet, including Camille Saint Saens’s Dying Swan, Jacques Brel’s Don’t Leave Me and Ravel’s Bolero. Also on the programme will be George Bizet’s one-act ballet Carmen and the pas de deux from Le Corsaire. R150 to R280 at Computicket. Early booking is advised.
