THE Wonderful World of Disney On Ice! heads to South Africa next year, skating into Durban for the first time.
Disney On Ice has become an institution during the winter months in this country and 2017 will be no exception. These wonderful and familiar fairy tale and cartoon characters are back and will come to life in Joburg, Cape Town and, for the first time, Durban, from the end of June. Presented by Feld Entertainment Inc and local promoter Showtime Management, The Wonderful World of Disney On Ice! opens on Friday, June 30 at the Ticketpro Dome, Joburg, and runs until Sunday, July 9.
They the show moves to Durban’s ICC Arena from Thursday, July 13 to Sunday, July 16 and then to GrandWest, Cape Town, from Wednesday, July 19 to Sunday, July 23.

As always, it’s a walk down memory lane with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy, not to mention all the others in the Disney sky of stars, to relive moments that span generations. For the past six years, South African audiences have filled the seats for these much-loved Disney On Ice shows.
“Each year, the show is a completely different production and, based on the audience appreciation, we believe Disney On Ice is fast becoming a regular annual event on the South African winter events calendar,” says Tony Feldman of Showtime Management.

“There is a the parade of classic and modern Disney characters, as they all come out to show their love and affection for their fans, including the tiny tots. The show is timeless, with its collection of classical tunes, fantasy worlds that we all know and its characters. This is what Disney on Ice offers. It is a not-to-be-missed family winter school holiday bonus.”
