The Moonbox Theatre, next to the Breytenbach Theatre in Gerard Moedyk Street in Sunnyside, Pretoria, is an intimate entertainment venue where poetry, hip-hop, jazz and house music go down every Thursday from 7:30pm till late.
Last Sunday, the chilled-out Couch sessions were launched. These will take place every Sunday from 5:30pm till late. The idea to utilise the Moonbox as a youth hang-out venue was started by students from TUT's entertainment technology department.
It is not only used by students though. The 3 dimensions Theatre Company from Cape Town will be presenting their new comedy show www. Love In Cyberspace. Co. Za. there tomorrow and Saturday.
It tells the story of Cyril, a queen from Sunnyside Pretoria who meets a Russian man, Vladimere Shotokovich, online in a chatroom. Cyril becomes Sherryl in the chatroom. Vlad becomes infatuated and wants to meet his new lady love.
