Call for Proposals:

Call for proposals for the main programme of the South African State Theatre (April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016). It offers theatre practitioners the opportunity to present their productions on any of their six stages. The theatre will fund successful productions to the tune of R200 000 and offer the venue for four weeks including move-in; access to wardrobe and décor; marketing, advertising and publicity; 15 percent of gross box office income. Individual artists, producers and arts companies must submit the following for consideration: full script or a brief synopsis; motivation of how the production is relevant, entertaining, etc; artistic treatment; company/ individual’s information, eg biographies of the creative team, contact details and other publicity material; full script if the production exists.
