Durban - Shaaista Khan Osman has been nominated a finalist for the Standard Bank Top Women Award for leading the lifestyle, event management company, Blu Blood. Osman celebrates the company’s 10 years in business with two excellence nominations in 2018 awards taking place on August 23 at Emperors Palace. She will be recognised as a front runner of gender empowerment in the categories Top Business Woman of the Year and Top Gender Empowered Company in Innovation through Technology.

Blu Blood has hosted some of the biggest Bollywood productions in South Africa and Africa; has produced successful comedy brands such as Kings & Queens of Comedy; collaborated with local and international comedians including Tumi Morake, Riaad Moosa, Orlando Jones and Russell Peter; and it has produced theatre and children’s stage productions. 

“I am humbled because it is our strong and dedicated business family unit that has contributed to my successes and of which I am in awe. I am honoured to take on this great responsibility of being a voice in the progression of women in business alongside other like-minded and courageous women,” said Osman.

The Standard Bank Top Women Awards celebrates their 15-year anniversary gathering South Africa’s most accomplished businesswomen and organisations and accelerating gender transformation in the workplace.
