DURBAN - The family of slain Mangosuthu University of Technology student Zolile Khumalo say they did not know about their daughter's relationship with murder accused Thabani Mzolo, who appeared in court on Thursday.
Khumalo's cousin, Bongiwe Myeni, while speaking to the media outside the Durban Magistrate's Court said her cousin was still like a little child to the family.
"She was a fun loving person that the whole family loved," she said.

The state told the court that the accussed's mother lives at the Estcourt address and she said the accused only came there now and then and had no assets.
Magistrate Mohamed Motala adjourned the matter to next Thursday for a valid address to be provided.
"I'm giving you seven days to provide the court with an address. This is a fundamental aspect when it comes to bail," he said.
The state is opposing bail.
