Soweto Theatre opened its doors for the spring and summer edition Soweto Fashion Week (SFW) , a fashion show for local designers to showcase their talent. SFW was established in 2011 by Stephen Manzini as a platform for both established and upcoming South African fashion designers.

Running for six years now, SFW is currently showcasing Spring/Summer 18 collection until October 7, which is absolutely phenomenal. At the opening , designers gave us a tease of some of their latest designs Jimmy Shibambu and Emelang Moyo encoporated Darling hair extensions into their designs.

“These designs are inspired by Nigerian culture. We decided to add our own creativity by making clothes out of hair and it only took us one and a half day”, says Shibambu.

More than 20 designers will take it on the ramp and show us what they've been working on for this summer. Darling hair will also be revealing trendy hairstyles for this season.
