For the month of February, IOL is inviting our readers to tell us who they love and why to stand a chance of winning amazing prizes in our #MyHeart competition.

Our next winner is Jenni-Lee Hoorzuk, who submitted the following entry.

The person who owns my heart is my grandmother.

She retired 5 years ago and used her pension to help me further my education. She is the nicest. Most heartwarming person I know. She always has a smile on her face regardless of all the health issues she’s going through right now and is always generous with everyone and everything she has.

I’ve never visited a house like hers. When I walk in I just feel the love, all my friends that have visited her say the same thing and sometimes they even visit her when I’m not even with them because everyone can’t help but just love her.

She always has a pot of food on the stove and the kettle on to provide anyone that walks in with a full plate and a conversation over biscuits.

Whenever I have a break from varsity or work, the first thing I do is book a trip home to see her because I have withdrawals when I haven’t seen her in a while honestly. I doubt I’d ever be able to love anyone else in the world the way I love her.

How to enter:

Tell us who you love and why. The IOL team is passionate about news for the heart of South Africa and we want to hear about who holds your heart. Whether it's the love of your life, your BFF, your cat, your mom, your boss or your second-removed cousin on your grandmother's side, we want to know why you appreciate them so much.

If you are our pick for the best story of the day, you will win one of our amazing prizes and be entered into the grand prize draw.
