London - A three-year-old boy was banned from taking part in a ‘Princess for a Day’ makeover at Disneyland Paris – because he is not a girl.

Noah McLean loves nothing more than dressing up as his Princess Elsa from the film Frozen and his mother Hayley decided the sparkly styling session would make the ideal early Christmas present for her son.

But when she tried to book it, Mrs McLean was shocked to receive a reply saying: "It is not possible to book a Princess for a Day for a boy."

The mother of three from Paignton, Devon, said Noah had been "buzzing with excitement", adding: "I just think that it’s unfair. If there was an activity such as a pirate dress up or a Spider-Man event, little girls would be allowed to do it."

Disneyland Paris has apologised to the family, claiming the refusal was an ‘isolated incident’ and that the experience is in fact open to both boys and girls.
