Victoria Beckham thinks it is important to teach her children to "work hard".

The 44-year-old fashion designer wants to make sure her children - Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 15, Cruz, 13, and Harper, six, who she shares with David - know how important it is to work for their money.

She told the Evening Standard: "It’s never been an option not to work hard. They see Mummy go to work, they see Daddy go to work, and they go to school and they have to work. But at the same time they’re happy children. I believe that children should be children, and have fun."

Victoria adores her family and previously confessed she would be "a bit of a lunatic" without her family.

She said: "[I’d] probably have been a bit of lunatic [without my family]. You can’t be a diva and you have to keep it real. Back in the Spice Girls days you’d hear about singers who wanted their dressing rooms filled with certain flowers and packed with white kittens ... good god, it’s not the Nineties!"

And Victoria previously admitted she doesn't have much of a "social life" because her four children are her "first priority" in life.

She said: "[Harper] works very hard at school and is very sociable, so has a lot of friends. She has a better social life than I do! My children are all very happy and that's the most crucial thing - they are happy, confident and secure in themselves ... [I don't] have a social life.

"My four children and David are my first priority. When there's a play on or a parent/teacher meeting, I'm there. David and I are rarely away at the same time. We do the homework, the bath time and the bed time. Paying someone to do those things for you to make your life easier isn't wrong but they're important to me."
