Amy Schumer's pregnancy announcement was so unHollywood, and we're loving it!

Just late last week, Schumer made headlines when she announced that she wouldn't appear in any Super Bowl ads this year in support of former National Football League player Colin Kaepernick. Picture: AP

Washington - There was no cheesy snapshot of a tiny pink or blue microphone. No made-for-Pinterest sign hanging from her dog's neck that read "I'm going to be a big brother!"

No, for comedian and activist Amy Schumer, who was last seen in Washington, DC. getting arrested while protesting then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, a pregnancy announcement had to double as a political one.

The list was long, including nearly two dozen Democrats, from those running in Schumer's home state of New York to candidates in Georgia, Texas, Indiana and Arizona.

Nestled at the bottom of the I Feel Pretty star's midterm picks was the big news: "I'm pregnant-Amy Schumer."

The announcement was first posted by journalist Jessica Yellin, a friend Schumer's.

"I'm not in the business of making voting recommendations, but these are the recommendations of Amy Schumer," Yellin said in her Instagram story. "Now read all the way to the bottom, you'll see there's some news down there. Congratulations, Amy."

Just late last week, Schumer made headlines when she announced that she wouldn't appear in any Super Bowl ads this year in support of former National Football League player Colin Kaepernick. "I know it must sound like a privilege a - sacrifice," she wrote on Instagram, "but it's all I got."
