You may have seen an article doing its rounds on social media about a 26-year-old woman who was arrested for having sexual intercourse with male corpses in the morgue she worked at.  However, popular fake news buster website, Snopes, claims that this story is fake.

According to Snopes, the article was first published by the Dead Serious News website in 2010, claiming that a that a female mortuary worker had become pregnant after engaging in a sex act with a deceased male.

The alleged crime took place at the Mourning Glory Mortuary (Mourning Glory? like that wasn't a dead giveaway — no pun intended) just outside of Lexington, Missouri and the alleged perpetrator, a 38-year-old woman, was charged with desecration of the dead and necrophilia.

Fast-forward to 2016, and the article was republished by  World News Daily Report fake news site, with a few tweaks.

The accused was now a 26-year-old woman, who was allegedly arrested after a DNA test revealed that her newborn child was the result of a necrophiliac intercourse with a man she was supposed to autopsy. The baby's father was reportedly a man who died in a car accident in 2015.

In March 2017, Snopes debunked the story for the second time, giving it a fake news status — again.
