The Kitchen at Maison, the celebrated restaurant where inspired culinary dishes and acclaimed wines come together in the perfect Franschhoek setting recently updated their locally inspired seasonal menu.

The food philosophy at The Kitchen has always been to keep it simple. Each dish has been stripped down to its essence, yet provides a dozen different taste sensations. By using fewer ingredients, The Kitchen is able to ensure that only the best and freshest produce is sourced, if not from Maison Estate itself then from as close to the farm as possible.

Indulge in three to six courses from the tasting-style menu, with the option to include wine pairing. Foodies can anticipate new exotic flavour combinations such as prawns with nasturtium and grapefruit, or lamb with wood sorrel, kale and sprouts.

On the sweeter side, desserts include tree tomato with white chocolate, cream and mint, and the delight of corn, caramel and lemon.

Begin your visit with our wine tasting experts in the Tasting Room, and move to a table inside the recently renovated restaurant, or on the spacious veranda or rolling lawns.

The tranquil farm setting, complete with wandering black pig named Porcini, sets the tone for a wine and food experience to remember.
