Tickets to Sunday’s Gin and Tonic Festival have officially sold out, but there's no reason why you still can’t enjoy a glass of G&T this weekend, by making your own.

Over 30 local and international brands will be on offer at the festival, which takes place at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock.

Gin lovers who were lucky enough to get their tickets on time, can expect a selection of brands including Bloedlemoen, Wilderer, Cruxland, Hope on Hopkins, Sigs Digs and The Botanist.

Festival organiser and founder, Pierre Strydom says the festival is all about celebrating the exceptional local gins, and welcoming new and exciting international brands to the stage.

“The aim of the Gin and Tonic Festival is to shine light on the incredible local gin distilleries that are scattered around the country. We want to bring people together and expose them to new and exciting flavours,” says Strydom.

“People can expect to be exposed to a wide variety of beautifully crafted gins from around South Africa and the world,” he adds.

This year’s first-timers will include brands like Sugarbird Fynbos Gin, Malfy Gin, Aviation American Gin and Monkey 47 and local craft tonic blends such as Barker & Quin, Fitch & Leedes and a newly launched tonic, Chinchona Premium Indian.

More than 2000 people are expected to attend the festival.
