The Diageo World Class bartending competition has crowned Travis Kuhn the best man behind the bar in SA.
He beat ten other finalists to claim the title at the finals which were held in Cape Town. Kuhn works at Perfect Serve — a mobile bar offering in the Mother City.
It was a 3-day competition in which the regional finalists had to battle it out and mix the best cocktails to WOW the judges.
Kuhn says “I’m so incredibly amazed and excited to be the winner this year, it was a grueling week taking on all the challenges against some of the most skilled bartenders that I’ve met. Participating in the competition again this year has been amazing enough but to finish off as the winner…I’m so delighted!”

The crowned winner will go on to compete against the best in the world, representing our country where mixologist from more than 60 countries around the world will be on a quest for the ultimate, World Class Bartender title in Berlin from October.
