Checkers LiquorShop unveiled the latest addition to its exclusive Private Barrel Co. range of whiskies just in time for #WorldWhiskyDay.

Whisky connoisseurs, media and online influencers were led on a taste journey by Anel Grobler, editor of drinksfeed.com, as they sampled four different Private Barrel Co. single malts from the comfort of their own homes.

The virtual Twitter tasting allowed for everyone who received the whisky samples, to add their voices and tasting notes to the online conversation and even learn interesting new things about whisky.

The evening culminated with the big reveal of the Private Barrel Co.’s sensational 10-year-old Glen Scotia single malt, sourced from the award-winning Campbeltown distillery of the year and matured in 1st fill American oak casks.

Owned by the renowned Loch Lomond Group, the Glen Scotia distillery was founded in 1832 and has been distilling on the same site ever since, producing a distinctive Campbeltown style of single malt.
