Slowly but surely it’s getting colder, which means we will need to indulge on winter beverages so we can be warmed up, and cocktails can do just the trick.

I say this because cocktails are a great choice of a drink not only in summer but also in the winter, which is why you will find restaurant and bars rolling out their winter cocktail list just before the winter season kick starts.

News Café has shared with us their five winter cocktails that will help raise the spirits when the days get a little colder.

Mai Tai:

This rum based cocktail, with exotic tiki spices and citrus notes of orange is a tropical infusion that will make you forget about winter.

Rum is also believed to raise your body temperature when the weather gets cold.

Bourbon Triple Sour:

Sweet, oaky, and relatively mild, garnished with dehydrated orange, bourbon warms the soul.

Mixed Berry Sangria:

This Mixed Berry Sangria will take you back to days of basking in the sun, warming you up with warm wine notes and fresh strawberries and citrus flavours of orange and lemon

Virgin Berry:

For those lovers of non-alcoholic cocktails, try the mixed berry cocktail with citrus blends of orange and lemon and hints of mint. Berries are high in Vitamin C and are bound to keep those winter germs at bay.

Long Island Ice Tea:

Exercise your given right to drink the Long Island Ice Tea at all times of the year, especially in the bitterest winter months. This is served Grande with a mix of four white spirits.
